Natalia Correa

The seed of Dharma, of Buddhist philosophy, was planted by my parents in early childhood. Still, my holistic journey matured in 2010, with my first trip to India when I discovered yoga as a holistic practice. Devotion to the practice brought awareness to my old unhealthy patterns and enabled me to look deeper for a different approach to life. I began my studies in yoga, holistic nutrition and the underlying causes of those old patterns.

As we work with settling our breath, our mind settles.

I am passionate about the healing properties of herbs and foods and the power of awareness that a daily yoga practice brings to life. I believe delving deeper into self-practice is the key to meeting yourself as you are and where you are at that moment.

All the hours you put on our mat will bring to the surface the true you, and with time, as you work with your breath, you work with your mind, cultivating a sense of self-awareness, non-judgment, acceptance and love.

Once you listen to your body, you can identify unhealthy patterns, be aware of their effects and overcome them by building new healthy ones.

It is all about reconnecting to yourself, listening to your body's needs, and allowing its innate healing abilities to flourish.

It is about permitting yourself to slow down and take the time you need, the space you need to find that rhythm and balance that is in constant motion.

Connecting with our True Nature gives us endless possibilities.

Mother. Lover. Sister. Grower.

She travels to India regularly to study with Sharath Jois, as it allows her to revisit the roots and tradition of her daily yoga practice.

Her yoga sadhana is guided and transformed by powerful women, Sharmila Desai and Fiona Stang, who have planted potent seeds.

Natalia is fascinated by the healing properties of yoga, herbs and foods and how they beneficially influence our lifestyle. She believes devotion to a daily practice allows a person to experience an openness and awareness within themselves and how that experience can impact each person to realize their healing abilities.

She lives in Squamish, BC, where she is the director of Ashtanga Yoga Squamish. She also shares her knowledge in Holistic Nutrition with her surrounding community such that it can empower and inspire women and mothers alike to pursue a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Natalia can often be found outdoors with her young children enjoying activities such as hiking and climbing.

Gratitude towards her teachers. Vande Gurūṇāṁ
