Upcycled DURGA-MA TEES

$45.00

Upcycled tees made from thick, cozy cotton — part of our ongoing effort to support sustainable, mindful fashion. Each one is one-of-a-kind, so you can choose the tee that feels right for you.

The Durga-Ma illustration was created by the talented Erika (@littleeyesalien) and screen-printed locally here in Squamish. This project has been slowly growing over the past couple of years — from carefully curating each tee, to collaborating with an artist, to honouring Durga for her strength, wisdom, and love that stands for justice.

About Durga:
Durga represents the kind of power that protects and uplifts — strength grounded in compassion. In our yoga community, she reminds us that true courage is steady and caring, not forceful. Through gentleness, we can move mountains — a reflection of how we live and practice here in Squamish, surrounded by the mountains that keep teaching us resilience and grace.

Her power is rooted in wisdom, compassion, and determination — the strength that rises to defeat ignorance and chaos. From this force, Durga emerged from the mountains, radiant and fierce, a reflection of divine energy united in purpose. She rode a lion, steady and fearless, holding the gifts and weapons of many gods. When the buffalo demon, Mahishasura, brought destruction and confusion to the world, Durga met him in battle. After nine days and nights, she struck him down, cutting through his illusion and restoring balance. Her story reminds us that clarity, courage, and love are the true sources of strength — steady as the mountains that witnessed her victory.
